JHN Computer Labs – Policies

Please Note: JHN 021 and JHN 366 no longer support remote desktop connections. Remote desktop is still enabled in FSH 313 and MAR 270

JHN 021

  • Use Policy:
    • This lab is open for general ESS use when scheduled classes are not in session
  • File Storage Policy:
    • eSITS is NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DATA left on any of the PCs in JHN 021
    • YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE for saving your own data. We recommend you use your UDrive account, or some other cloud based service. User data is NOT backed up on any of the JHN 021 computers
    • eSITS is NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DATA stored on the “commons” shared drive. Use at your own risk
    • You MAY NOT use these computers for long term OR high-volume storage
  • Other Policies:
    • This lab is imaged once a quarter.  Requests for new or updated software require 30 days advance notice to esits@uw.edu
    • Instructors are responsible for the validity of any and all installed software in the 021 lab.  Please give 30 days advance notice to esits@uw.edu to resolve all software issues
    • No food or drink – including water – is allowed in JHN 021.  NO EXCEPTIONS
    • Report all malfunctions and suggestions to esits@uw.edu
